Post subject:  Campaign Events 1024 - 1071

Hi,

The Arcanis RPG book has the current year as 1071. While the Arcanis Codex has the current year as 1024. Is there a source that lists/describes the events that occurred between those years?

Also, I haven't participated in the Living Arcanis campaign. So what years do those events occur? If they're after 1071, is there a source that lists/describes those events?

Thanks.

Are you reading the original Codex Arcanis (written for the 3.5 D&D campaign), or the new ARPG book? The current campaign starts 40 years after the end of the old campaign.

I'd suggest reading the history section of the ARPG source book, as it does cover some of the events between campaigns.

Yes the codex is the 2007 version for 3.5 d20.

History section? You referring to the individual sections under the Nations of the Shattered Empires? BTW, the ARPG book I have is form 2011 is there another?

You are correct that the Codex is written for about 1021. The Arcanis Role playing Game core book (the 2011 book) also has a history section which includes sidebars with the most relevant events of the past 40 years in each nations entries.

The Living Arcanis campaign (it was run under both 3.0 and 3.5 rule set) went from the years 1026 until 1031. The ARG campaign starts in 1071.
In the second edition of the Codex Arcanis (printed in 2007) starting on page 212 you will find Appendix 1. It is a compressed list of major events that happened between 1024 and 1029. It does not tell you what happened the in final 2 years of the campaign. That information is bit harder to come by as there are a lot of spoilers. Also in 2007 we had not yet to finish the campaign.

For what happened between 1031 and 1071 use the ARG Nations section starting on Page 5. At end of each nation entry there is a small section titled Current Year. Some of the entries under Nations are themselves recent history as certain Nations didn't exist in the first campaign and were created either at the end or in the between years, like The Free City States of Almeric.

Now I feel like an idiot. I guess that's what happens when you return to a book you read several years ago.

Thanks for letting me know.

I made a timeline of events in the 1024 to 1071 IC time frame based on material in the new books. When I asked Henry Lopez to look over it, he was nice enough to take time to review and correct it to enable sharing with the greater community. I haven't posted it previuosly only because this forum doesn't allow the posting of files.

Here's a link to the PDF file where anyone can download it:

If it is meant for public perusal (as approved by Henry), I would contact Joe Cirillo to have it posted as a downloadable file on the Campaign website, and then post the link to the download as a Stickied topic on this board.

If it's a word file you can cut and paste. I do that for most of Tukufu's "Letters."

When I post there is the upload attachment section directly below the submit button; does that not work?
