Hello everyone,

We are always looking for new adventures for the campaign and to help those interested in writing one, here's the procedure to do so:

1. Write a brief synopsis (this shouldn't be more than a paragraph or two) and an outline specifying the major beats of the story. The entire outline and synopsis shouldn't be more than a page or two in length.

**This and all future documents should submitted as a Word doc without any fancy headers or graphics.

2. Send that outline to PCIHenry@gmail.com and it will be forwarded to Cody Bergman. DO NOT e-mail Cody directly.

3. Cody will work with you on your outline. He will then forward the final version to me for approval. Once you receive the final approval, you can begin working on the adventure in earnest.

We do this so that no one wastes their time writing a full adventure, which may not be accepted. An outline is a quick and easy way of getting your basic thoughts down and seeing if the adventure is one which we are interested in seeing developed.

Thank you and I look forward to your future submission!

I'm going to approach this from a slightly different angle, one I took with FASA back in 1988. Are there any areas of Arcanis you and the staff would like to see mods set? Or is the whole sandbox open (with obvious exceptions of course)? On another thread we have discussing places we'd like to visit but I was wondering (to use a B5 question) what do you want? :)

There are presently no specific areas where we are seeking mods to be set, but that is not to say that there are not some restrictions:

1) Adventures should take place in well characterized nations. The nations that do not get a lot of screen time tend to be that way for meta-story reasons (meaning Henry and PCI tend to have specific events going on 'behind the scenes' and without knowing what they are such soft points may interfere with that plot). As such, the 'core' group of regions for which adventures may be set are:

- The Hinterlands
- The Dwarven Enclaves (Nol Dappa, Solanos Mor, Tir Betoq, and Encali)
- The Kingdom of Milandir
- The Coryani Empire
- The Republic of Altheria
- The League of Prince (specifically Capharra, Pajharo, Biharn, Eppion, Lhyllifel, Shadow Towns, and arguably Blackwand)

The city of Entaris, and the Blessed Lands are technically available as well, but all stories set in those regions will be subject to much scrutiny due to the secretive nature of the nations and/or of the continued meta-plot occurring there.

The nations of Canceri, and Almeric are off limits.

Additionally, your story may include representatives of other nations (such as a group of Malefelan marauders as enemies or Abessian NPCs), but those nations cannot be the focus of the adventure.

2) All submitted adventures should not include things which aim to reveal the 'secrets' of Arcanis. For example, no long conversations with 3,000 year old Elder Elorii, no casual tea parties with Valinor, no revelations as to the true nature of the Sorcerer-King. If Henry or PCI wish to include such revelations in your adventure, they will get in touch with you after your adventure has been approved and tell you what they want included.

Additional post to Henry's request:

To help centralize the current batch of adventures, could everyone who is CURRENTLY writing an adventure (no new adventures) send me their original adventure pitch and outline, as well as the full-length drafts? I want to ensure that we have everything filed properly and the most recent versions available.

All new pitches/outlines are to be sent first to pcihenry@gmail.com, as per Henry's post.

Cody I'm sending you a PM on this to avoid giving things away on an open forum. Be on the lookout for it. Thanks!

Will these submissions, should they be accepted, be part of the 24 'for-pay' adventures from the Kickstarter? Or have those all be published?

Hello,

I've updated Cody's post above to say:

The nations of Canceri, and Almeric are off limits for adventure settings at this time.

Thank you.

Question: with the certificate released, are you primarily looking for T3 adventures at this point?

Yes, that's correct.
