I hate forums for this reason... You only get news months later...

Thanks to Tony for your work!

I look forward to seeing what the new team will put in place!

Just a few updates since I've joined the campaign staff as "Author Liaison", since I know that some might ask:

1) The Legends of Arcanis campaign has premiered two adventures ("As Heaven Bickers, Hell Does Not Rest" by myself, and "Thief in the Library" by Akira Currier and Marc Davignon). We are still waiting on all the feedback to come in from the premiere so that we can make appropriate edits before an official release, but hopefully we will get these adventures posted for public consumption soon.

2) I have been in contact with over a dozen different authors, and we do have a number of adventures in various stages of completion. There are two specifically which we hope will be completed soon and ready for release.

I also feel like I should point out that while we do have some adventures in process, we would LOVE to have more! If you have an adventure idea (or know somebody that has an adventure idea) that they would like to contribute, please send send these ideas to pcihenry@gmail.com. From there, they will be forwarded to me and I'll work with the prospective authors to ensure that they A. Fit into the universe, B. Advance the plot, C. Are awesome.

And now back to your regularly scheduled Arcanis adventures!

Question the first note Cody, with the two Fall premiered adventures ("As Heaven Bickers, Hell Does Not Rest" by myself, and "Thief in the Library" by Akira Currier and Marc Davignon). Was the "posted for public consumption soon" possibly before ArcanisCon? Just curious - thanks!

I was wondering when we might see (for home play) the Origins and GenCon soft points, Dance Among the Bones (not sure of the exact title), and Morals and Ideals. I'm in no hurry but would just like to know where things stand with these two.

I want to apologize for the delay on my end. I have been fighting the evil demons of technology for a few days trying to get the files up. Turns out, there is a specific subset of Infernal Lord that locks a file size just a little bit too big to upload it. I had uncovered an ancient voodoo ritual to banish the offending spirit. It including sacrificing a whole chicken (fortunately, a KFC bucket works in a pinch). Just as I was about to enact the ritual (which would have probably taken the last shred of my sanity with it). Pedro and Henry stepped in with their near-deific tech powers and incanted a strange spell (I swear, the magic words were "oh, you just wanted to do this?") and saved me.

I am going back to play with my Bouncy ball tied to a paddle...much more my speed.

Back in the mid 1980s my best friend tried to explain how MS-DOS worked. I listened to him for a few minutes as my eyes slowly glazed over. I said then and I say now that stuff is a form of magic, evil magic at that. Mage the Awakening had it right when they said that gremlin basically live in your computer.

Seriously though thanks to everyone for their hard work on this.

Explaining MS-DOS is simple. It was a drunken grad student's weekend project (they procrastinated) to implement Unix clean-room style (seriously, it seems like DOS half-implemented a bunch of Unix and made changes for absolutely no reason and disallowed things just because it wasn't easy to implement). Yes, I know DOS really came from CPM (which I don't know much about). We would all have much better computers/software now if Unix had been used instead of DOS as the basis for PC OS (there's a reason why my next laptop will be a Mac (I haven't bought a new personal laptop since before Mac was Unix-based)).

Back to Arcanis, thanks all for uploading the modules.

I may be wrong on this, but as I understand it the only reason we got stuck with DOS is because Bill Gates was able to sell IBM on using it as their operating system back in the day.
