Similarities between Kassegore and Cthulhu:

+ Many mortals have forgotten (or never knew) that he exists
+ Sleeps in suspended animation below the waters
+ Known to some as the Dreamer in the Deep
+ Depicted as a gigantic entity in vaguely humanoid form with immense draconic wings
+ His dreams span the gulfs of existence and are capable of touching upon sleeping minds of mortals
+ His worship is associated with destruction, dreams, and the stars
+ Worshipped by forbidden cults
+ His worshippers believe the prophecy that one day, the stars will be right and a new age will arise
+ His return may usher in the end times

1) Is Kass described as having wings? All the symbology that I recall of him is that he is more of a serpent than a winged dragon (his holy symbol being an ouroborus).

2) I assume you mean the myth that Kassegore now rests below the waves of Lake Quesselan after being thrown down from the heavens. Failing that, do you mean how he slept after the creation of the universe?

3) Not sure which you mean about 'his dreams touching mortals', as that seems to be a generic Arcanis God thing (unless the people are crazy).

4) Is there a prophecy of Kass coming back, or is it tied to his (maybe?) being Umor? Hromu?

Overall, though, I do think Henry and PCI are huge fans of the works of Lovecraft, as most of the other great SciFi/Fantasy authors out there. There are distinct 'unknowable' aspects of the mysteries of Arcanis which fit the Lovecraftian mold better than the more. . . simplistic systems you see in other games (like most D&D campaigns).

No, Kass doesn't have wings, nor is he humanoid. Still... :P

For that matter Yig, through the Freeport mods, has been referred to as the Unspeakable One and worshiped through the Yellow Sign. Hastur Hastur Hastur!!! (Aaiiyeee....)

I like to think that HPL would be pleased...

Kassegore is a god, he can have wings anytime he wants...or not depending on mood. :)
