Given the tensions between the val'Virdan and val'Emman would it make more sense to have a val'Emman in a Nierite legion or in a different legion? As a related question, are there any val'Emman controlled Nierite legions? With a sweep of his hat, Paul |

The val'Emman only emerged as a unique family about 50 years ago. Not enough time to get the influence, money and prestige necessary to found a legion. |

I may be remembering this wrong, but I thought that a Coryani legion standard was recovered for an old val'Emman legion in the last campaign...the Legion of the Black Sun perhaps? |

I swear there was at least one val'Emman Legion that took part in the Battle of Grand Coryan, but now I cannot find the document which lists who was on what side. . . According to the adventure LA-SP4-07 there is the Legion of Searing Revenge (Nier-Emman). |

According to the adventure LA-SP4-07 there is the Legion of Searing Revenge (Nier-Emman). Looking back on my notes the following Legions were listed at one time as val'Emman: The Legion of Searing Revenge The Legion of the Pride of Chendo (Reference: LA_Talk list post #: 43560) Given the general bad blood between the val'Virdans and the val'Emman it sounds like the val'Virdans have reclaimed these two legions or they were effectively destroyed in the Battle of Grand Coryan. The two Beltinian legions I have notes for are the Legion of the Sacred Trust and the Legion of the Blessed Spirit. Neither sound very val'Emman-like. I have the following legions without notes on a patron deity, one of which may work: Legio Anguis Reptatus - may be Cadic given the Occisor base class in the 3.5 Psionics Unbound book Legio Comae Triumphus ab Sol Invictus Legion of Broken Shadows Legion of Burnished Steel Legion of Dark Majesty Legion of Deliverance Legion of Honorable Accord Legion of Indomitable Truth Legion of Iron Shadow Legion of Mighty Toneth Legion of Radiant Glory - probably Illirite Legion of the Crusading Light Legion of the Stalking Shadow Happy to get notes on any of the legions mentioned above. Those are val'Emman legions, but both were destroyed in the final days of the First Imperium. If they were listed at the Battle of Grand Coryan, then that was an error. |

Legio Anguis Reptatus - Cadician in flavour, if not actual religion Legio Comae Triumphus ab Sol Invictus - Illiirite Legion of Broken Shadows - Cadic? Legion of Burnished Steel Legion of Dark Majesty - IIRC the 'ownership' of this legion has been fought between the Borda, Mehan, and Mordane Legion of Deliverance - Has fought Voei Legion of Honorable Accord - First City Legion Legion of Indomitable Truth - Illirite I believe Legion of Iron Shadow - Sounds cadician Legion of Mighty Toneth - Sounds Cadician Legion of Radiant Glory - probably Illirite Legion of the Crusading Light - Light usually = Illiir Legion of the Stalking Shadow - Pretty darn Cadician to me Wow, there are a lot of Cadic and Illiir legions |

Just a thought, but would this also mean that Nova Cormata is more of a val'Virdan homeland rather than a Nierite one? Would there be continued friction between the two families there, or are they mixed at all? |

I did start a backstory for the Legion if Radiant Glory last campaign. Then Henry screwed me by banishing Calmemnon out of the Empire with them. Mother is still pissed at that (but Larisaa really is a bitch about decisions affecting fate.) |
