Hello,

If you can be a little patient, something will be introduced that may take care of this issue.

The introduction of a certain Khitani Rune Master in the Cradle of Empires sourcebook.

I'll also make sure there is access to him in one of the forthcoming Hard Points.

Hello,

While we're on the subject, Unarmed Combat is not a standard fighting tradition within the Known Lands, that I can think of.

People are obviously taught hand-to-hand combat, but its usually seen as a means of last resort, where most would rely on more effective weapons.

Even the gladiators in the Coryani Arenas, tend to use cestus or gauntlets when forced to go unarmed.

Of course, I don't have the book in front of me, and Pete may have added something in the Fighting Styles that I don't remember off the top of my head, but just thought I'd share my thoughts.

The Vacuus Communus and Tooth and Claw fighting styles come to mind.

additionally, it's worth noting that the priesthood of Anshar are all skilled unarmed combatants.

Henry, thanks for clarifying that. Even though the d20 Arcanis rules had details on fighting orders of monks in western Onara, I always felt like they were mostly an excuse to fit the d20 monk class into Arcanis. With the A:RPG rules, does this mean that the fighting orders still exist as monastic orders associated with temples, yet they mostly lack training in unarmed combat?

As a concrete example, would members of the Order of Althares (Codex Arcanis, Ch. VI; PGtA, p.66) likely have training with war hammers and flintlocks but not with unarmed combat?

As another example, would members of the Order of the Iron Soul (PGtA, p.76), which is devoted to Anshar, still have training in unarmed combat because it is her "favored weapon"?

Thanks,
David Thomas Chappell
