Not an issue for the near future, is it known that all val's (and Uls?) of Saluwe', Nier, Yarris, and Hurrian are their own sources for elements? We know both Virdan and Emman are for fire, so it would suggest that the val'Haupt would be for earth as scions of Saluwe'. |

I've been thinking about this off and on. One the one hand ... yeah. Best guess? The val'Haupt will also be their own source for "Earth" spells. Kinda redundant in most situations (although you could always be out on a ship I guess...) But I've also been thinking that Gods have multiple aspects. And each valinor represents *one* aspect. And each family is founded by one Valinor. So it seems plausible or even likely that there are valinors of Nier that have *nothing* to do with fire. And if they somehow started a new line of vals, maybe they wouldn't get any special fire mojo. <Shrug> Because it seems logical to me I kind of like this idea. But against that bit of "logic" there is the fact that all four/five of the major families that come from the valinor of the 4 Gods (that chowed down on the Elemental Lords) ALL are their own source for the appropriate element. So yeah ... best guess? The val'Haupt probably will too. (At a guess...) |
