The "path of shadow lion" spells says, "You may not cast spells, or communicate while in lion form." The "Form of the Predator" talent has similiar language, "When you change into animal form, all of your equipment melds into your new form (becoming unusable for the duration of this ability). While in animal form you may not cast spells or communicate." This is especially important for the Val'Dellenov's out there... Can psionics work in these forms? My initial thought was yes, because psionics doesn't really need "Casting" (just concentration), right? But in rereading these I saw the rules clearly don't allow psionics while in other shapes, even a Val bloodline power shape. Is that correct? Why? They also don't allow communication, but I assume if a psionic Val'Dellenov cast "mind link" and then used "Form of the predator" they could still communicate mentally, despite the text of the power? |

I can tell you the official answer for sure on this one--no, psionics may not be used while shapeshifted, per Pedro. The reason given was mechanically, it works, but it does not work from a game balance standpoint. |

But if your mind link is up first I would assume you can still share through it while in animal form. |

There are several spells that Specifically say can be done in "The Form of the Predator." |
