This doesn't NEED a fix mechanically. I think it's weird too. Who knows, maybe one day there will be an option to divine can't for Sarish. Or another route other than dual faiths.

I do think it needs a fix for story purposes. I doubt the intent was that you can only take this through dual faiths.

And maybe I don't know my lore as well as I should but I figured Nier would be a more appropriate Inquisitor than Sarish?

I think that one is politics. When Nier was banned in the early Coryani Empire, I'm guessing the Illiirites and the Sarishans took over his position in the Inquisition. Now that Nier is back, I wouldn't be surprised if there is some pressure to reinstate them as the Inquisition's strong-arm, but I also doubt that the Illiirites and Sarishans are willing to give up their long-held power (especially with an Illiirite Matriarch in power)

Am I the only person that thinks you can take this by being a simple divine caster of Illir? all the sarish stuff is just hard to do

The issue many (including I) have is that if you state that Sarishans are allowed to take this path, and then you do not allow a mechanical way for a Sarishan to get this path, then you should remove the reference to Sarish altogether. Either allow ASC:SPS, or delete that Sarishans can take this path.

That was my thinking above actually, if you wanted to do this, it seems overly complicated to figure out how.

There are no such things as Sarishan Divine Spells, only Arcane spells of the Sorcerer-Priest of Sarish source, which is the crux of the problem.
