Post subject:  Doubling up Damage.

in game last Saturday we came up with an interesting idea to multiply damage. the monk in our group is also a divine caster and has the spell "shared Sacrafice". he would move into the middle of a group of monsters. then i would elmental ball him and the enemies and then he would activate shared sacrafice and as he has no AR and i used piercing we double the damage to them. is this ok or rule breaking.

Huh, the Ansharan bomb, that's the 3rd time recently Ive seen / heard of this in use

I think that's a perfectly acceptable, and intended way to use that spell, there are some things that are think are not acceptable, such as setting up an unbalancing strike pre-combat and then intentionally attacking the shared sacrificer. thats just abusing the rules there and wont fly at my tables.

Just FYI for those coming to ArcaniCon, the 'cheese whiz' method won't fly at my table either.
