Hi there Just a quick rules question. Does the Exile background count as Nationality access for a path requirement? My character is originally from Censure but was Exiled to Altheria as a boy (Expiate / Exile background) and wants to become a Triggermage. But you need to be Altherian or Shining patrol background to do so. I suspect the answer is no but wanted to confirm. Cheers Dean/Taffy |

By the reading of the flavor text and the 'crunch', you would still be considered from your 'starting Nation' not your 'adopted Nation' for the purposes of requirements. If you truly want to be a Triggermage, you could be Altherian and just 'flavor' yourself as an Exile from Censure, taking some skills/talents that would enhance that story mechanically. Particularly if you fought in the Shining Patrol (background), you may have 'earned' Altherian citizenship. John |
