i think something that would be interesting to use fame for would be to use it to gain access to skills, talents, path...etc that you would normally not have access to, because of race, nationality...etc. think of it person x ( gnome from the hinterlands) has done such a great things for milander (fame +10 milander) as such an important person or group is now willing to train that person in something that would normally be available only for a milandisan citizen ( access to a knighthood or some other thing that is solely accessible to those of milandisian nationality.
