Elorii characters are either from Entares or Elonbe but if you take the background Veteran of the Altherian War you are from Seramas. Is there a write up for Seramas or did this just go under one of the other regions? Couldn't find it any where and was just wondering.

Thanks
Rob

There is some history of Seremas in the Codex Arcanis section of the Arcanis: The Roleplaying Game book, and a fair bit more in the old (but free!) Codex Arcanis from the 3.5 days (http://www.rpgnow.com/product/55802/Codex-Arcanis). That said, the most in depth (if somewhat outdated) information on Seremas comes from another of PCI's D&D era books called Eldest Sons, which was their take on various Elf tropes with expanded rules and whatnot. The last chapter, however, was a very in depth story and rules section for their own Arcanis game centred on Seremas.

Take a look here for some links to various PCI Arcanis products from the D&D era and the modern era.

Seremas is Entares. That was a lack of consistency in prerequisite naming on our part.

One is the city, the other the nation.

A dozen things you need to know about Entaris

1) Its the smallest of the three elorii nations and is located in the Western Lands (Elonbe and Malfea are both more populous).
2) The main city/capitol is Seremas
3) The single most influential elorii in the city is probably an Ardekene Lifewarden called Melirios.
4) Seremas has two big sections, a walled elorii only section and a foreign district where anyone is welcome to come and live.
5) The Seremasi befriended the local people who worshipped elementl spirits such as Undir and the Kio of at least what is now Llylifel.
6) Coryan tried in its youth to push into the region and was largely rebuffed due to Entaris' power. Coryan then sent a fleet under a val'Ossan admiral to punish Seremas...and was promptly sunk with minimal Seremasi loses.
7) Ymandragore corrupted one of the leading Seremasi and sent him back to seize Seremas with a small mobile Island of the same black stone that the Ymandragoran Fleet is made out of. But the plans was thwarted by two elder elorii who invoked Kurenthe.
8) The Kurenthe curse screwed up the environment (carnivorous black flamingos and tree climbing semi-intelligent crocodiles) and animated the dead bodies of the Coryani Fleet as Lacedons (underwater ghouls) and other undead. So outside of Seremas, Entaris is a dangerous place.
9) Entaris took Altheria under its protection as a protectorate in the last campaign just as Altheria was about to be overrun by simultaneous invasions by the Malfelans and the Ssethrics.
10) After this event at what called The Second Battle of Semar relations between Altheria and Seremas soured ultimately resulting in a war between them.
11) While Altheria seems to have done somewhat better than the Coryani Fleet they still got their butts handed to them.
12) Ssethegore chose this moment to attack Seremas. Altheria and Entaris ended their formal hostilities and beat Ssethregore back. It is probable that bad bad feelings still exist on both sides.

Now for the truth...
9) The Shining Patrol was already spread thin keeping the borders safe for all, which necessitated accepting help. If the Elorii had been skilled speaking Altharin, there would not have been the unfortunate assumption that Altherian would become a protectorate of the Elorii nation...
10) After accepting their aid, Altheria was somehow expected to remain under the thumb of the Elorii, which did not sit well with us. We are Althares' chosen after all and a sovereign power...
11) Might I remind you of the devastation of the malfunctions which lead to many Elorii deaths. Had the Ssethregorans not attacked, I can assure you that we Altherians would have prevailed. I personally dealt many a blow against the oppressive Elorii.
12) While Althares' wisdom dictates we forgive those not as enlightened as we are, there are still times when the wounds feel fresh. However, I have had the honor of meeting several Elorii that I now call friend...
