Post subject:  Questions about "Arcane Strike" Maneuver

1) It's a "Base" Maneuver; therefore, can it be combined into an Advanced Maneuver before the spell part is added? If you can and combine this with a multi-target Base Maneuver (Sweeping Strike, e.g.) does it then affect all Targets? (I believe that it can be combined with another base maneuver and potentially affect multiple targets but wanted clarification.)

2) It says "choose any basic spell". Does that mean "Base Spell"? If not, can you use this with Advanced Spells? (I believe it's "Base" spell and cannot be used with Advanced, but this might need errata'ed.)

3) Can the original spell target any Defense? Does the combined spell only require Avoidance to get the effect? (I believe the spell can be one that targets any Defense, but I'm not sure about the combined version)

Thanks,
John

I raised the question earlier and the consensus was that yes, you can combine your arcane strike with something else (like sweeping strike) and that the spell would hit all the target s in this case. Powerful effect with certain control spells.

I assume that's a typo and it means a base spell for number two.

Yes it targets avoidance. Great way to potentially get around a really high discipline defense

Thanks Eric, all the answers I expected but glad to see confirmed. Makes it a nice investment given all the prerequisites and such.
