This has already probably been addressed but I am going to ask. Can one cast with holding a sword in one hand and a shield in the other? If not, give some helpful hints on how to make this work. |

Psionic: Yes. Any Other: No. Dump your Shield @ spd 2 if you need to cast? |

Thanks, I missed the "save Psionics" part. |

Therefore, stowing a shield away to cast a spell would be Speed 3, 4 or 5 (for Buckler, Small, and Large respectively). You could drop it of course but that's different. John |

I mean dump/drop. Not stowing. I don't think dropping a shield is a freebie. But am away from books right now so don't know why I said speed 2. Maybe a simple action? |

Drop = free, Pick up= 2. This is improved with Quick Hands (ta) for two handed weapons. |

I remember that discussion. Pedro's summary: Player: "I drop my flintlock and draw another." Pedro: "The minion picks up your pistol and runs away. He dies old and wealthy." |
