I know Henry & Co really went all in to make something special. Visually its paid off. On balance this is probably their best looking book to date. And the paper and binding is high quality etc etc etc. It's pretty sweet.
I have the old version from3E and the ARP version. So I already have most of the content as far as story. On new 5E the mechanics, everything looks pretty good. Nothing leaps out at me as either unbalanced or lackluster. I again find myself wishing that the Laksiri was playable in the Living Campaign. But they have a specific mission and its hard to justify why they's be out and about with adventuring "human" on a full time basis.
On the specific issue of suggestion and the cleric Archetyp: Mistress of Lies ... yeah that does seem like a no-brainer to me. They get Invisibility and misty step which are both solid choices. In a perfect world? Sure I would support dropping Misty Step for Suggestion. But it's a small thing that's not going to have much impact in the Living Campaign (in home campaigns you can negotiate anything you want with your GM). In the alternative maybe remember that "Anshar" in all her phases likes travel and teleportation.
OR!!! The priestess reads the targets mind and then "asks" her bodyguard/Order of the Fang to do the suggesting...
