In ARPG, p. 251, the gear description for a “Lamp or Lantern” says: “A lamp sheds bright light in a 30’ radius and shadowy light out to 90’; a lantern sheds bright light in a 40’ radius and shadowy light out to 100’.” In contrast, Table 3-12 on page 337 of ARPG says that a lamp sheds bright light in a 30’ radius and shadowy light out to 60’ and a lantern sheds bright light in a 40’ radius and shadowy light out to 60’. The bright radii agree, but the shadowy radii differ. Which is correct? As I recall, I’ve been told that the general rule for contradictions between text and table (of which there are others), the text wins out. Does that hold here?
