If we had rules for ul powers I think it's possible that they would be fair game for Val Holryn PCs. Ditto something like the Val Haupt. But I think the Val Bauciz is out. Short of a word from Henry & Co (and rules for them) it's largely accademic.

Hello,

Correct - the fact that the val'Holryn don't emulate Ul family powers has more to do with the fact that the mechanics are not finalized than anything else.

So then out of curiosity, is it that the val'Holryn can't emulate the val'Vasik, or that it is not an option for Heroes (regardless of cert)?

I realize the question is kinda semantics, but curious nonetheless.

As I understand it, the answer should be can't. The Val Vasik are created long after the Val Holryn. The Val Holryn are known to be around (at least) by the ending days of the First Imperium. The val'Vasik aren't created until after the founding of the Coryani Empire.

I can't answer that as it has story implications as to the nature of the val'Holryn family.

We'll eventually get to revealing that secret.
