Can I take this talent if I am a member of the Milandiric Church and meet the appropriate weapon training requirement? Thanks. |

If you are a member of the Orthodoxy, with 2.5 or more Fame with the Orthodoxy, are a priest or Holy Champion, have the appropriate weapons training and skills to qualify for "Keeper of Forgotten Lore", then yes as it is not limited to followers of the Mother Church. If not, no as it is a limited talent and can only be gotten throughthe path. |

Thanks for the clarification. My main issue is mostly a role-playing/in-character one. Haakon val Ishi is the son of my previous character Guthrum val Holryn (a cleric of Hurrian) and Rikitsa val Ishi (a Beltinian priestess he met at Enpebyn). Haakon favored his mother's bloodline and so trained at Enpebyn in the Beltinian faith. But he's been strongly influenced by the Hurrianite views of his father. Plus he's been taught by his father to keep a wary eye on Sabinus val Assante and is not totally comfortable with the split by the Milandiric Church. At the same time his father has taught him to keep an equally wary eye on Elandre val Assante. Some days Guthrum regrets helping get her elected as Matriarch, feeling she's a bit two doctrinaire. The dual faiths talent/Pantheonistic approach seemed a cool way to take this character since he is a child of two faiths in many ways. I'm not totally comfortable with how tight the Orthodoxy is with the Mother Church but we as players/characters are often at odds with our own secret societies. Just one of the many moral conundrums that makes Arcanis so cool! |

I picked Haakon because it was one of the first names listed as being used in Valentia/Enpebyn. Given that's where mom is from that makes sense. ![]() |

That makes sense. The mod where we got to experience the Larissan schism was one of my favorites from the old campaign! |

Dual faiths is interesting. Part of the challenge is to figure out which faiths to combine. There are so many good choices with very different flavors. With a sweep of his... Hat |

Question...given the nature of the campaign how likely is it for a character to reach the 2.5 Fame level necessary to qualify for the Keepers of Forgotten Lore path? Everything else is doable, but that one has me wondering.... |

reach Tier 2.5? IIRC your base fame w/ your secret society is equal to your Tier. |

I know of one person who has taken the path right now. My Nierite has at least 2 Fame right now (maybe 3) so it is perfectly possible. |
