So this talent is available by a spell eventually, so I read it, and realized why I had never seen a character with it. :) Then I really started wondering about it. It says,

Quote:
Benefit: You can see double normal distance under a night sky. This does not give you the ability to see in complete darkness.

But what is meant by a night sky? Is that really intended to be limited to just outdoors at night? In the vision section on pg 337 there are light source ranges, but no discussion of night sky. I assume all those various light source ranges double with this talent when outside. But do they still do so if you are using a torch while delving underground? By the wording I would say no, but by the intent I would think so. I mean, why would you be able to see twice as far outside as inside from the same light source? Just "under the night sky" really just mean in the (not total) dark here?

If I were GMing, I would rule that the talent applies in any low-light situation. It does not give the Hero the ability to see in the complete absence of light, but in dim lighting he/she has good vision.

That is my thinking as well, that it doubles your vision in low-light situations, but it doesn't say that, which is why I thought I should check. Just wondering if there was some actual reason for limiting it to outdoor vision, and how it synced up with the various light source descriptions later since the text is so different.
