The Basic Combat Maneuver "Disarm" imposes a -6 penalty to attack Slashing Disarm was Erratted to do away with the -6 penalty to attack. "Disarm Foe" was not Erratted. Thus it imposes a -6 penalty to attack. My question, should have Disarm Foe been Erratted to do away with the -6 penalty? While "Slashing Disarm" is limited to certain weapons, it is obtained without the expenditure of a talent. Since "Disarm Foe" costs a talent, shouldn't it also benefit from the same erratta that affected "Slashing Disarm"? |

I actually thought the rulebook already said that Disarm Foe doesn't suffer the penalty, but it doesn't. If Slashing Disarm doesn't suffer the penalty, then there is no reason why Disarm Foe should. |

Brought this up right after the last errata was released (as Disarm Foe is now quite inferior to Slashing Disarm after the errata). |

Not yet...but I am hoping to decide this week. Still looking at pros and cons. (Plus the book and getting ready for winter fantasy and Arcanicon have tied up my free time) |

OH! Thanks Matt! Thank you for looking into this. I was asking if there was a decision made the previous time the issue was raised. I didn't realize you were evaluating the question. |
