Hi there

Just wanted some clarification regarding wounds caused by the Gritty rules on creatures vulnerable to Sarishan Steel.

The Vulnerable flaw states that when a would is caused by a Sarishan Steel weapon, a second would results. Normally this would be only on a 10 10 roll on the action dice, but would a wound caused by damage greater fort defense actually cause two wounds from a Sarishian Steel weapon?

Cheers

It is still wound damage caused by the vulnerability source. So, yes, an additional Wound would be applied.

That beinng said, Vulnerability was written before the Gritty Rules. The additional d8 could help push the Stamina damage into massive damage range fairly easily. So, a review might be in order to update the flaw to the original intention (Wounds via crits or a few choice talents like thee perfect cut). I will need to think pros and cons.

Until then, if players are having a fairly easy time of a fight due to the double wounds, judges should feel free to augment as needed.

Given that the gritty rules also grant the opponents the extra wound, I'd consider the adjustment consistent and self-contained.

With a sweep of his hat,
