Ok, so I thought it might be fun to have my Altherian idiot walk around with a small shield and a beer mug as his primary weapon combo. Of course the "Beer Mug" is not on the weapon table it would therefore be an improvised weapon. So, what is the speed and damage of an improvised weapon? Is it reasonable to assume that a club is the closest thing? Also, should I assume that the beer mug does not come with any weapon tricks (unless later gained from the grand master path and applied to the beer mug that way)?

For those following my threads, I would note that I did notice that to use this combo effectively I have to have Tools of the Trade. That requires Weapon Savant. Which in turn requires Combat Aptitude (an a In 5 Lo 5 entry fee to play). So the feeble attribute : logic is right out. As such I'm switching his flaw to Mentally Weak to keep things as close as possible to original RP concept.

Yeah, if you use the rules for a club and call it a beer mug, I don't think anyone will give you a hard time over that...but it would have to be a pretty big/solid beer mug.

If you're a native Altheran, it could be the heirloom beer mug of Radjuborn (pg 122 and pg 124 of the revised and expanded 3.5 Forged in Magic for details on him) , the ogre who joined the shining patrol. It would have been made for him special due to his large size, and be extra sturdy because, well, he was an ogre. Your dad could have kept it as a reminder of him after he died on patrol.

Of course, if you're huge and dim, you could have been your mother who kept the keepsake of Radjuborn, for other reasons...

Bardus is from Semar, and he has enlisted in the Shining Patrol. So that thought sounds good. Too bad I don't have a copy of FIM, to learn more about that. But yea, could very well have some ogre in him.
