Requirement states that you need Arcane Spell Casting Eldrich T3 or Elder T3
Then you get as one of your Talents Arcane Spell Casting Eldrich or Elder.

Should this be
1) Requirement T3 and Arcane Spell Casting Eldrich T2 or Elder T2? (This seems right :)
2) You can take this Path at T3, but would have to wait until T4 in order to use the
Arcane Spell Casting Eldrich or Elder talent given for this Path
3) You have to wait until Tier 4 to take this Master's Path since you can't get Arcane Spell casting twice in one tier.
4) you get Arcane Spell casting twice in one tier. (T3) and can pick 3 more spells. (doubtful :)

Note: with the Bard path and the Talon of the Hawk path and the Champion of the Silver Chalice path you can become Master at T2 (and get choose one Arcanum skill) (Although the Silver Chalice path will be pretty hard to take at T2) and Elementalist can get Master at T3 and thus (get choose one Arcanum skill)

I don't mean to sound snarky (really!) and maybe I'm missing something since I don't have the books in front of me, but what's the point of giving someone a talent they can use until they make the next Tier? Why not give it to them when the can use it? Seems like giving the car to the teenager and saying you can't drive it until you're 21. Like that's gonna go over well... :).

Feel free to show me where I erred. Just trying understand how this works.

Reading the fluff "Pinnacle of achievement" and seeing the requirements, I am thinking this "Master" level isn't meant to be taken until Tier IV. You get your Arcane Casting advanced for free since you've vested so much time and energy into it (Having Arcane Casting Tier 3). I imagine it's fine as written. You may want to fill your Tier III path with something complimentary and take this as your first Tier IV advancement.

Thanks John.
so it appears that the choice is
2) You can take this Path at T3, but would have to wait until T4 in order to use the
Arcane Spell Casting Eldrich or Elder talent given for this Path

But you might as well just wait and take this path at T4.

So, if it is true then that you become a master bard or a master of the talon of the hawk at T2,
then I can take one of those for my first 2 paths and Magi as my next 2 paths.

Sounds like a good planned build.

There can be reasons to take it early anyway. It frees up a Talent slot at T.IV, which can be a powerful thing with how nasty some of those T.IV talents are, allowing you a broader benefit.

Its a case of "Less power now for more power later". More relevant in a home game with a faster advancement.

A low-level example is that my LA character has Leadership II from creation steps. This has allowed me a free talent in Tier II for some other things I want (and with Paths, I don't have to "spend" a talent on it until T.V).
