Greetings, I understand that heirloom armor is the standard version of an armor, not a customized one. It's not realistic to have a suit of armor customized for someone who's huge or has wings to be considered an heirloom. Other than being potentially cost prohibitive, is there any reason that heirloom armor couldn't be customized? The cost for customizing heirloom Lorica Segmentata would be 10 Gc (Base) x50 (Exceptional) x1/3 (Customization) for a cost of 166.6667 Gc. Heavy armor is certainly out of the price range of characters until probably late Tier 3 or maybe Tier 4, but lighter armor could be within reach. With a sweep of his hat, Paul |

I do not believe there is any restriction from customizing it, and I honestly hope not because I want to eventually take Wings of the Valinor as a spell. |

You mean beyond the potential story implications of mangling your family's precious heirlooms? ![]() |

Not mangling. . . but if I could fit a couple wing-holes in the back it would be swell ![]() Come on! If I am manifesting the will of Nier himself, shouldn't that be a reason to alter a family artefact?! ![]() |

Well there are also instances where you get Heirloom and it really isn't. At least one background and 2 paths come to mind that give you the talent and it is explicitly not an heirloom. I just see it as a talent to represent you having received a very high quality item, and that is normally through inheritance but can be explained in other ways. |

The modifications for T2 wings are a lot cheaper than the T4 Wings of the Valinor modifications (1gc vs 5gc), so keep that in mind when updating your armour. |

So. . . rereading this I still do not believe that there was anything saying whether or not you could customize Heirloom armour within the campaign. As one of my desired spell choices is Valinor's Wings, I have a bit of a reason to want to know this ![]() |
