Work out a few advancement options and budgeting the character's gold, is there a price difference for purchasing "large" weapons or is it the same price as purchasing a regular weapon?

What do you mean by large weapons? I don't think Arcanis has anything like that. The closest thing I can think of is the Huge talent making weapons 5lb and under count as light (when it's normally 3lb and under).

There is no Large sized characters at this time, so there are no rules to cover buying large-sized weapons. This may change in the future, but not any time in the immediate future.

Hmmm. Makes me wonder what happens when an Agamassi takes the huge talent...

Where do you think dragons come from?

Not entirely true.
NPC enemies carry weapons scaled for them.
I know because I disarmed one at one of the 1st arc BI's, and ended up with a Large Greatsword.

Granted it was like speed 10/d12 with the penalty I took for being out of size for it -according to the GM. He might have just made that up on the spot, but I recall him find a page for the rules so maybe not.
Either way, there are such things -if not rules for acquiring them.

There are no rules for using then (or stats), either.

I was the judge in that case. It happened a couple of years ago in Jappa....

The BI obviously has stats for them (large weapons) when wielded by a large infernal. Said large infernal/demonius either died or was disarmed. And Zac's PC picked up the weapon to use it because ... well I don't know why Zac's PCs do the things they do. Zac('s PCs) sometimes makes interesting choices.

Trust me. :P Its *just* like an "adaptable" two handed weapon ... only more extreme. :D My on the fly ruling was to keep the damage the same and add 2 to the weapon spd. I hasten to point out it was also a timed round in a BI were an instant "good" ruling would be infinitely better than 4-8 minutes of flipping through books ... or the dreaded judge fiat "no you can't do that." *Shrug* Much as I hate the term, it was cinematic...

...enough that I remember the moment now (uh, you want to do what again?)

Hard Eight is right as far as I know. I know of no official rules for Extra sized weapons.

Page 238 in the Core Rule book.

Quote:
The weapons presented in this chapter are of average size. But there are times where the heroes might face larger creatures wielding massive weapons. Weapons gain a Die Bump to their base weapon damage for each category above Average, without increasing the weapon's Speed. Unlike a heroes die bump which caps at d12+2, weapons which deal 1d12 deal 2d6 instead which each die increasing by one additional size category per die bump. Thus a Huge Scythe, Speed 7, d12 weapon would deal 2d10 (Mi) as a Speed 7 attack.

Any creature can, foolishly, use a weapon one size category larger than they are, but doing so imparts a -1 penalty to hit and increases the Speed of the attack by 2.
